What Does the Premium Yacht Package Include?

Deciding on the Premium Yacht Package gives you all the fun of the sea onboard a more spacious monohull yacht without the worry of extra sailing costs involved.

Yacht Information

All the yachts we use for the Premium Yacht package are between 47ft and 57ft in length. 

All consist of a minimum of 4 double cabins some even have 5 double cabins they also have a larger saloon area that can be converted into extra sleeping space if required.

Onboard you will have more premium equipment to make sure you enjoy yourself onboard including deck showers, galley (Kitchen with fridge and cooker) Heads (Toilets with showers), larger fridges, more spacious bathrooms, more deck area for sunbathing.

Models Of Yachts

Types of yachts we use in the Premium yacht package include: Benetteau, Jeanneau, Bavaria, Salona, Hanse, Cyclades, Dufour, Elan to name a few. 

All yachts are kept to a high standard and often come with extras like onboard generators, AC larger ribs and more living space.

Monohull or Catamaran?

All Premium Yachts are Monohull yachts (Not multi hull catamarans) So sailing performance is often more enjoyable and fun than a catamaran.

Monohull yachts will sail closer to the wind meaning more sailing time onboard.

Who Enjoys the Premium Yacht Package?

Our Premium yachts are most popular with groups that like to really enjoy there sailing holiday onboard. They like more space during their time onboard and they do not want to be worrying about paying marina fees, preparing breakfast and lunches during their sailing holiday.

The Premium Yacht Package is a great option if you want good service, breakfast and lunch made for you every day. More bathrooms onboard and generally more living and relaxing space on deck.

Premium Yachts are popular with families and friends who want to really have a fun time onboard and be onboard one of the larger type of yachts on the water.

Food Onboard

The Premium Yacht Package includes a higher service than our Inspire packages.

You will be provided with tasty breakfasts and healthy lunches every day you are onboard.

Your Host / Hostess will be making breakfasts and lunches while you enjoy yourself swimming, snorkelling or even enjoying that bit of extra lye in on a morning.

Do I Need to Buy Provisions?

You don’t even need to think about provisions with our Premium Packages. Your Host / Hostess will already have purchased your food in advance of boarding, and it will be waiting onboard the yacht when you arrive. They will have decided what they are cooking for you for the week from your previously given food preferences that you will supply after booking.

Will they cater for everyone?

Your Host / Hostess onboard are very flexible and will have been briefed on food preferences for all guests and they will do their best to accommodate for all guests. We have tasty menus for Vegetarians, Vegans, Meat eaters and can normally accommodate all other preferences.

Please keep in mind it is not an industrial kitchen onboard our yachts the food provided onboard is usually tasty and fresh and often is served in family style due to space restrictions with lots of salads and fresh produce.

What About the Utopia Crew?

Utopia Crew (Skipper & Host) evening meals onboard are already covered in the price – But if you want them to join you for dinner ashore it is often nice to pay for their dinners.

Do We Get a Host?

Our Premium Packages all come with a Host or Hostess onboard who will cook Breakfast and Lunches for you and your guests each day. Plus, generally keep the boat tidy as much as they can.

Note: Hosts / Hostesses do not cook evening meals onboard – In order to support the local economy on the islands we visit most will enjoy evening meals ashore in some of the fantastic restaurants on your Itinerary.

Don’t worry your skipper and host should hopefully be able to suggest restaurants for evenings throughout your week depending on your tastes.

Can We Cook Onboard on An Evening?

Of course – It is your yacht for the week and you, and your guests are more than welcome to cook onboard yourselves, Utopia Yachting do not provide provisions for evening meals. So, you may need to pop to a local supermarket if you have something you want to make in mind.

The host / hostess will show you how to use everything in the Galley (Kitchen) and where to find spices and utensils. All we ask is. If cooking onboard yourself, you clean up after yourselves also, so you are not woken in the morning by the host / hostess having to clean everything up.

Will The Host / Hostess cook Evening meals?

Sadly not.

We ask quite a lot of our hosts / hostesses already. Even if they seem like they are not working they are normally still on duty and thinking about the next meal they need to prepare or helping out with mooring and setting sails during your week.

Premium packages normally offer 4 double cabins onboard the yacht with between two and four heads (Toilets) Some of our premium yachts offer 5 cabin layouts also. 

Note: The saloon on all yachts can normally be turned into extra sleeping accommodation.

Your Skipper and Host / Hostess will require somewhere to sleep onboard, please keep this in mind when organising your own guests.

Most Premium yachts can sleep up to 10 guests (Including Crew) however if you would prefer not to have anyone sleeping in the saloon (Main living area) then we suggest lowering your number of guests and giving the crew a cabin for themselves.

Onboard you will have all the modern items you would expect on a sailing yacht including shower facilities, toilets, bathrooms, kitchen, cooker, hobs, beds, bedding, cushions, towels, cooking equipment.

Not all yachts have Air Conditioning but if you do require this, we may be able to offer this at an extra cost and it must be paid for at the time of booking.  

Ports on an evening will normally have shoreside facilities for all guests onboard to use.

Who will Sail me around?

The Premium Yacht Package includes a professional skipper for your holiday as standard. Utopia Yachting skippers are all well experienced and generally enjoyable to be around.

Will I get to sail myself?

Utopia Yachting Skippers are generally very happy to share their sailing knowledge and get you involved if you are looking to learn but they also know when to step back and let you sip cocktails or sunbathe and enjoy the scenery.

Our Itineraries are designed in a way to get the most out of your sailing and the skippers do their best to stick to them as best they can. Everything does have a safety factor skippers have to take into account and of course if the weather does not allow for the itinerary to be fully carried out you will be informed, and explanations will be given at the time of the decision. Utopia Yachting Skippers will be thinking about your safety and comfort onboard before anything else.

What Kind of Sailing Will We Be Doing?

Utopia Yachting offers a more relaxed sailing holiday experience including visiting various islands enjoying relaxed lunch / swimming stops for snorkelling and paddle boarding and then on an evening experiencing the local towns, restaurants and bars ashore.

What If It Is Bad Weather?

Utopia Yachting are definitely NOT looking to be taking our guests out sailing 14 hours a day in rough seas with no swim / lunch breaks. We cannot control the weather however we generally know what weather is due for the day. Itineraries will be adhered too as closely as possible, so you and your guests get too experience the best parts of your destination.

If you are looking for a more advanced sailing experience. we advise emailing us direct and we will happily organise a more bespoke sailing holiday for you and your crew. Our sister company Yacht Sail Training also offers RYA training (Royal Yachting Association), Mile building packages and more specialised sailing holidays in Croatia. If you would like a RYA instructor onboard for a non RYA course who can however refresh your RYA skills without an actual certificate we can offer this world-wide. Yacht Sail Training is also able to also offer yacht training mile building and various other options for you and your guests if you are looking for more advanced sailing trips. 

Our Premium Packages really are Premium and are all exclusive except evening meals.

Further Costs Information 

Paddle Boards & Water Toys

Paddle Boards can be rented per week on most yachts in most destinations price is €150 per week and must be requested at the time of booking in order to secure one as they are limited. We can also often source Seadoos, Electric Scooters please contact us after booking for availability and costs for these items.

Personal Insurance

Your Skipper will have his own insurance during the trip and any negligence caused by the skipper will be the skippers responsibility. Personal Insurance however is required and strongly advised for any holiday in the world, As it is personal we are not able to for this.

Crew Evening Meals

Your skipper and hostess are given provisions for cooking onboard for themselves on an evening so you don’t need to worry about them. However if you are going out for an evening meal and would like to invite them along it is customary for the guests to pay for the crew.

Crew Tips / Gratuities

Industry standard is 15% if you enjoyed yourself and is paid direct to the crew at the end of an enjoyable week sailing.
